It took reschedule after reschedule for us to FINALLY have a clear day for Hannah and Sam’s engagement session. (That’s Illinois weather for ya!) But we are so glad the sun decided to peek out (at least for a short while lol) as we snapped away at all the beauty that is Hannah and Sam!

We had the best time getting to know these two and their relationship. We are so excited to be a part of such a beautiful season in their lives. One of our all time favorite parts of photographing couples is hearing how the proposal went down. Here’s Sam and Hannah’s story:

Sam had been planning the proposal for months, but Hannah had no idea and was even annoyed that it hadn’t happened yet. Sam had been working on putting up new closet doors and when he finished, he asked Hannah to make sure she could open them since they were a little sticky. Hannah couldn’t get the doors open so Sam started it for her, but didn’t push it all the way open. As Hannah pushed the doors completely open, a ring dangled there in front of her. And the rest is history! The most unexpected proposals make for the best stories!
